15 Days to Freedom, you stump me. Natalie Sisson, you’re a rockstar. But this prompt is also impossible. You ask us to focus on ONE thing to accomplish this year? Do you KNOW how many notebooks I’ve created and how many planners/calendars I currently have open for the things I want to accomplish this year? (Four. Four calendars.)
Those of you who know me and actually read my blog (Hi mom! Hi Erin!) know that I have a zillion things to mark off this year. I am currently looking for a used car, am SUPER on the apartment hunt, and am working my butt off at work in addition to blogging as much as humanly possible. Oh, and I’m trying to completely finish The Desire Map so I can continue on into my world of bliss, I’m cooking more frequently and reading more often and trying to immerse myself in more culture. I am adding to my first book idea as much as possible so I can get that off the ground in the coming months. I’ve started a better budget to fund my travels and my necessities, I am looking to open a savings account and a Roth IRA, I have just booked a flight to Sacramento and have several other flights to book for the year, and I’m saving up to go to Santorini next year.
Plus, I am launching a blog in April.
Yup. That’s the big one. That’s the ONE THING probably. Which I know isn’t cool sine I have a zillion other things going on, but it’s something that doesn’t necessarily exist. It’s a niche audience without being a niche audience. I think it’s really going to build my klout in the blogging/ezine community and bring me a wider audience. That way, when I do publish my book–whether I go with self-publishing or a company–I will have people that will be willing to buy it. Because I’m funny. And they’ll enjoy my writing.
So, I just substantiated my blog for you. I have a lot going into it and I’m really excited about it. It will also be a test of my website building skills… because I am doing it all on my own. But I will be accepting guest bloggers for my VERY SPECIFIC topics, so if you love to write (or talk about music or drinks), then please, please, please get with me on this!
This is also a call for bands. If you LOVE a band or a performer or you know anyone that’s trying to get some work, let me know. I would love to interview them and get some insight for my project!
It’s set to launch in April. If I have my own place by then, then get ready for a launch party. Maybe if I get enough pull, I can bring the launch party into the virtual space! Ah! Who knows by then?
If you ever have any ideas to bounce off me for your ONE THING, I’m always around. The internet is a fun space to connect with people to make the world a better place, don’t you think?
